Main Functions
1. Vehicle power and control components
The tow body of JNE wrecker recovery tow truck is fully hydraulic controlled, its power is from engine of chassis. It receives its power by means of a Power Take-Off/Pump combination attached to the truck transmission. The PTO and pump is connected by drive line. There are caution light and PTO switch in the cab. The high pressure oil from pump flows through multi-way valves and hydraulic valves into all function components. Each function of the wrecker can be controlled from the Control Stations located in right rear compartments of the body. The Control Handles are clearly marked as to their functions and directions. The caution light and PTO switch are located in the cab. The accelerograph handle is installed beside the Control Handles to control the engine running speed, which can adjust the work speed of hydraulic cylinder and motor.
2. Assemblies
The tow body is mainly made up of sub-frame, under-lift, boom, outriggers and toolbox.
2.1 Sub-frame is the foundation for every tow body parts. The weight of tow body could be equally distributed to sub-frame, which improved the force bearing condition of chassis.
2.2 Boom assembly, which is installed on the sub-frame, is for lifting damaged vehicles. It can accomplish the actions such as lift, extension and retraction. Two individual winches of worm reducing structure are installed at the front of boom. The damaged vehicle could be lifted and pulled by the boom cooperated with winches.
2.3 Under-lift is main assembly for towing work, which is used for lifting and towing damaged vehicle. It can fold, lift, incline, extend and retract through extension and retraction of hydraulic cylinders.
2.4 Outriggers are installed at the rear of the wrecker. The main function is to improve the stability of wrecker and avoid overloading of tires when the wrecker lifts and pulls damaged vehicles.
2.5 Toolboxes are located at right side and left side of wrecker body, which are used for store parts and accessories. Control handles are installed in rear toolboxes of wrecker body.
